Welcome to Present Help

Present Help provides personalized, oncology nurse-led education and support for people receiving cancer treatment. Services include treatment preparation and protocol-specific education, symptom-management guidance, decision support, caregiver education, and practical skills training.

Services are available virtually or through a mobile in-person service where available.

Clinical Scope and Safety

Present Help works alongside your oncology team—not in place of it. Education is based on verified information from your oncology team. Present Help does not prescribe medication, change your treatment plan, provide continuous monitoring, or replace your oncology team’s clinical care.

Location

Registered nursing services are available only when the client is physically located in British Columbia at the time of the appointment.

Private-Pay Service

Present Help is a private-pay service. Fees are not covered by the provincial Medical Services Plan. Please review the service fee before booking.

Urgent Concerns and Emergencies

Do not use online booking or messaging for urgent symptoms. Follow the urgent-care instructions provided by your oncology team. Call 911 for severe or life-threatening symptoms, or go to the nearest Emergency Department.

Professional Background

I am a Registered Nurse with over 20 years of oncology experience across British Columbia and Ontario. My clinical background includes chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, patient education, and virtual/digital symptom support.

Throughout my career, I have supported hundreds of patients and families across all phases of cancer care — from diagnosis and active treatment to survivorship and palliative care.

About Present Help

I founded Present Help by June to provide after-hours, oncology RN-led symptom support that complements — and does not replace — a client’s oncology care team.

My work focuses on helping people:

Understand new or worsening symptoms

Manage side effects safely at home when appropriate

Know when to contact their oncology team or seek urgent care

Feel less alone when decisions feel heavy

All services are educational, supportive, and delivered within a clearly defined scope of practice.

I believe people need more than information — they need presence, reassurance, and clarity during difficult moments. My practice is shaped by the Medicine of the Person approach: meeting each individual with dignity, compassion, and respect for their lived experience.

Outside of work, I am a mother, enjoy time outdoors, and love to travel. My work is guided by enduring spiritual values and the belief that calm presence can be deeply grounding when life feels uncertain.
